Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to Honeygasm websites, apps, pages, and services that link to it. It does not apply to third-party websites, platforms, model providers, or authentication providers that have their own privacy policies.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Honeygasm. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide, information generated when you use the service, and information from authentication and infrastructure providers.

• Account information, such as your email address, language preference, user ID, and authentication provider identifiers.
• Authentication information from Google OAuth, including the account identifier, email address, verification status, and profile claims that Google may include in the sign-in credential. We discard display-name and profile-image claims during authentication and do not store or use them for your Honeygasm account.
• Optional fictional persona settings, such as a roleplay gender, age, and creative description. These are creative inputs for character interactions and do not need to describe your real-world identity.
• Chat and story interaction content, including messages you send, AI responses, chat room metadata, affection or interaction state, and related generation metadata.
• Technical and security information, such as IP address, user agent, trace identifiers, session identifiers, timestamps, error events, and authentication/session events.
• Device, browser, and usage information needed to operate, secure, debug, and improve the service.
• Uploaded media or admin-managed content if you use features that upload or manage images, videos, or story assets.

3. Sources of information

We collect information directly from you, automatically from your browser or device, from authentication providers such as Google when you choose to sign in, and from service providers that help us operate the service.

4. How we use information

We use information for the following purposes:

• Provide, personalize, maintain, and improve Honeygasm.
• Authenticate users, create and manage sessions, and protect accounts.
• Generate AI character responses and maintain chat continuity.
• Store chat history and related interaction state so the service can function across sessions.
• Detect, investigate, prevent, and respond to abuse, fraud, security incidents, policy violations, and technical errors.
• Debug, analyze, and improve reliability, safety, latency, and user experience.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

5. AI processing and service providers

When you send a chat message, Honeygasm may process your recent conversation, character information, optional fictional persona settings, interaction state, and prompt metadata through AI infrastructure and model service providers to generate a response.

Honeygasm uses AI infrastructure, gateway, and model service providers to deliver AI functionality. These providers process prompts, responses, and related technical data as service providers or processors for the purpose of delivering and securing the service.

In the iOS app, Honeygasm asks for your explicit permission before sending chat messages or related conversation context to third-party AI model providers. If you do not grant this permission, AI chat cannot operate. You can decline by leaving the confirmation screen, signing out, or managing or deleting your account.

Do not include sensitive personal information, confidential information, or information about other people in chat messages unless you are comfortable with that information being processed to provide the service.

Honeygasm does not use chat content for purposes outside the operation, safety, maintenance, and improvement of the service unless we provide additional notice or obtain consent where required by law.

6. How we disclose information

We may disclose information to the following categories of recipients:

• Infrastructure, hosting, database, storage, security, observability, and analytics providers.
• Authentication providers, such as Google, when you use their sign-in services.
• AI gateway and model providers that process prompts and responses to provide AI functionality.
• Professional advisers, auditors, or legal representatives when reasonably necessary.
• Government authorities, courts, or other parties when required by law or to protect rights, safety, security, and service integrity.
• Successors or affiliates in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets.

7. Cookies, local storage, and session technologies

Honeygasm uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, protect OAuth flows, remember session and current legal-document acceptance state, prevent replay or abuse, and operate the app. Some of these technologies are necessary for the service to work.

8. Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain accounts and chat history, secure the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and support legitimate business operations.

Some chat messages or generated data may be deleted or expire automatically depending on product behavior, safety settings, or operational cleanup rules. Security logs and audit records may be retained for longer when needed to prevent abuse or investigate incidents.

9. Your choices and requests

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, deletion, correction, portability, or restriction of certain personal information. You may also have rights to object to or opt out of certain processing.

10. U.S. state privacy rights

Residents of certain U.S. states, including California, may have additional privacy rights. These may include rights to know or access personal information, delete personal information, correct inaccurate personal information, opt out of certain sales or sharing, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights.

Honeygasm does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under applicable U.S. state privacy laws. If this changes, we will provide the required notice and opt-out mechanism before the activity begins.

If Honeygasm becomes subject to additional state privacy notice, opt-out, or appeal requirements, we will provide the notices and request methods required by those laws.

11. Children and minors

Honeygasm is not directed to children under 13, and users under 13 may not use the service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Users who are under the age of majority where they live may use the service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to Honeygasm, contact us at support@honeygasm.com so we can take appropriate action.

12. Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No online service is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. International processing

Honeygasm and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. These countries may have privacy laws that differ from those where you live.

14. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the service or another reasonable method. The effective date above shows when this Privacy Policy was last updated.
